Volunteer spotlight

When we asked some of our office volunteers why they volunteer for us, they mentioned an array of reasons from making a difference, helping others and learning new things. We welcome their assistance more than they ever know. Their help has been especially valuable during some of our hectic seasons, like the Family Conference, fundraising campaigns, and Halloween Bash.

Office Volunteers
Cathy Deters, Evelyn Randall, Chris Hatcher and Christine Throm are just four of our many office helpers.

Showing Up on Short Notice

We love their willingness to show up, often on short notice, to volunteer and help us meet our deadlines.  They help sort, organize, put labels on and stuff envelopes for mailings for our fundraisers. The volunteers artfully create baskets for silent auctions. They may file, fold t-shirts or compile First Connect packets for new families.

If they hadn’t been willing to help, some of us on the staff would have been at the office long after hours and maybe even on weekends. We know this is a lot of tedious work, but they make it seem effortless. We thank them for their dedication and trust we didn’t work them too hard! These volunteers are such an important part of our organization.
